Privacy policy

This Privacy policy explains how Charitable foundation “Freedom, Then Peace” (“Foundation”) uses and protects data of visitors of www.freedomthenpeace.org (“Site”). Visitors accept this Policy when they review the Site, accept cookies and/or make donations.

 

Collection of data

 

The Foundation automatically becomes controller of visitors’ data when visitors use the Site and/or make donations. The Foundation also becomes controller of data that visitors provide manually.

 

The Foundation may collect:

  • contact details: name, surname, e-mail and phone number, etc.;

  • technical data: IP-address, type and language of browser, version of operating system, location, etc.;

  • details about use of the Site: visited pages, duration of visits, method and time of visit, clicked links, etc.;

  • data received from banks and payment services providers;

  • data from social networks.

 

Data processing

 

The Foundation uses visitors’ data to achieve its goals under the Foundation’s Charter. In particular, the data is used to:

  • process donations and requests;

  • prepare reports;

  • provide feedback to visitors.

 

The Foundation may circulate public communications using visitors’ data. Visitors may unsubscribe from such communications by using integrated links or by contacting the Foundation.

 

The Foundation can use automated data processing technologies for some sections of the Site.

 

Visitors’ data will be stored for the term, necessary to achieve the Foundation’s goals under the Charter, but in no event longer than authorized by law.

 

Cookies

 

Cookie files are small fragments of data sent from the Site and stored on visitors’ devices. These files help improving user experience, analyzing traffic and collecting information about visitors’ behavior on the Site.

 

The Site uses the following types of cookies:

  • essential cookies - they enable core functionality such as security, verification of identity and network management. These cookies can’t be disabled; visitors should not enter the Site in order to avoid such cookies;

  • marketing cookies - they are used to track advertising effectiveness and provide more relevant information;

  • functional cookies - they remember user choices to improve and give more personalised experience on the Site;

  • analytics cookies - they help to understand how visitors interact with the Site, discover errors and provide better overall analytics.

 

Visitors can use cookie settings in their browsers and in banner that appears when first visiting the Site. Disabled cookies may negatively impact on user experience.

 

Access to data

 

Visitors may contact the Foundation to request correction, update or removal of their data. Visitors may also request a copy of their personal data that have been collected by the Foundation.

 

Visitors may prohibit the Foundation to collect their data and withdraw their consent for collection and processing of data. However, this is possible only if a visitor ceases to visit the Site.

 

The Foundation may request additional information to verify visitor’s identity before processing certain requests.

 

Third parties

 

Besides the Foundation, hosting platforms, banks and payment service providers may also collect and process visitors’ data. Such third parties protect visitors’ data according to their own privacy terms. The Foundation may also assign processing of data to third parties under agreement that must be made according to Ukrainian legislature.

 

The Foundation may fall under obligation to disclose visitors’ data if required by Ukrainian legislature.

 

The Foundation does not share visitors’ data in ways, which are not authorized by this Policy.

 

Complaints

 

Visitors can contact the Foundation about their data at team@freedomthenpeace.org. Visitors can also file complaints to a national supervisory authority for personal data protection – Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights at hotline@ombudsman.gov.ua.

 

Other terms

 

The Foundation may unilaterally amend this Policy, provided that the amendments do not apply retroactively.

 

This Policy is made in Ukrainian and English. Ukrainian version will prevail in the event of any discrepancy between the languages.
